Regular Season Round 18: SU Medien - Stahnsdorf 81-80

The most exciting game of round 18 in the ProB took place in Braunschweig. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-best RSV Eintracht (13-5) to eighth ranked Spot Up Medien Baskets (8-10) 81-80 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. The hosts trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 26-20 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Spot Up Medien Baskets made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by RSV Eintracht helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Swingman Philip Noch (200-89) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Nigerian guard Nnamdi Nnadili (185-86, college: Mercyhurst) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists during the contest. Spot Up Medien Baskets' coach Liviu Calin used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American guard Mychal Green (193-83, college: Ohio) with 24 points and 6 rebounds and forward Tim Modersitzki (197-85) scored 11 points and 7 assists. Four RSV Eintracht players scored in double figures. Spot Up Medien Baskets moved-up to seventh place in Group North, which they share with ALBA Berlin II. RSV Eintracht at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. They share it with Vechta and Herten. Spot Up Medien Baskets is looking forward to face league's leader SG Schwelmer Baskets on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. RSV Eintracht will play against USC Leipzig and is hoping to win this game.
