Regular Season Round 13: Beroe - NSA 92-76

The game between Top Four teams took place in Stara Zagora. Second ranked host Beroe (9-2) defeated 4th placed NSA (6-6) 92-76. The game without a history. Beroe led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 21 NSA turnovers. Beroe looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Guard Boyko Milenkov (194-83) stepped up and scored 36 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and forward Petar Zagorov (202-86) chipped in 23 points and 5 rebounds. Four Beroe players scored in double figures. Beroe's coach Konstantin Boev used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side power forward Danail Hristov (195-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and guard Damyan Dikov (188-89) scored 9 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Beroe have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 9-2 record having just two points less than leader Dunav 2007. NSA lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Balkan 2 and Cherno More U18. Beroe are looking forward to face Academik Plovdiv (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. NSA will play against Chavdar in Troyan and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
