Division A top team - Dunav 2007 (11-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat fifth ranked Balkan 2 (6-6) in Botevgrad 76-58. The game was mostly controlled by Dunav 2007. Balkan 2 was better in second period 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Balkan 2 to just 5 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Balkan 2 47-29 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Hristo Gospodinov (202-92) nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and forward Lyuben Paskov (198-90) accounted for 20 points and 8 rebounds. Five Dunav 2007 players scored in double figures. Dunav 2007's coach Nikolay Gospodinov allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Ivaylo Vuchkov (200-90) came up with 21 points and 8 rebounds and guard Ventsislav Stoev (182-92) added 9 points respectively for Balkan 2 in the defeat. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Dunav 2007. They maintain first place with 11-0 record. Newly promoted Balkan 2 keeps the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with NSA and Cherno More U18. Dunav 2007 will play against Cherno More U18 (#7) in Varna in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Balkan 2 will have a break next round.
