TBL top team - Fenerbahce Ulker (15-2) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Aliaga (5-12) 94-71. The game without a history. Fenerbahce Ulker led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Fenerbahce Ulker outrebounded Aliaga 39-28 including 25 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Aliaga helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international forward Mirsad Turkcan (206-76) stepped up and scored 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Croatian guard Roko-Leni Ukic (195-84) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Fenerbahce Ulker's coach Neven Spahija felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Latvian center Kaspars Kambala (206-78, college: UNLV, agency: Alti Sport) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and American swingman Jarvis Hayes (201-81, college: Georgia) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Five Fenerbahce Ulker and four Aliaga players scored in double figures. Fenerbahce Ulker have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 15-2 record. Aliaga at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Erdemir. Fenerbahce Ulker are looking forward to face Bornova (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aliaga will play against Besiktas in Istanbul and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
