Regular Season Round 21: Aalborg - Horsholm 62-67

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Horsholm (12-8) beat on the road bottom-ranked Aalborg (2-20) 67-62 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 15 points after three quarters before their 29-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Horsholm outrebounded Aalborg 43-30 including 28 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Horsholm made 7 blocks. The former international power forward Jens Hakanowitz (204-80) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and forward Jonathan Gilling (203-91) accounted for 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Horsholm players scored in double figures. American guard Marquis Hall (183-87, college: Lehigh) came up with 18 points and 4 assists and the other American import power forward Barkley Falkner (203-86, college: Sam Houston St.) added 7 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Aalborg in the defeat. Aalborg's coach Thomas Quaade rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Horsholm maintains fourth place with 12-8 record. Loser Aalborg stay dead last with 20 lost games. Horsholm will meet at home Amager BK (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Aalborg will have a break next round.
