The game between closely ranked teams ended with twelfth ranked Erelita-KTU's (10-19) home victory over 13th ranked ABRO-Universitetas (8-21) in Kaunas 75-43 on Friday. The game without a history. Erelita-KTU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to ABRO-Universitetas' 28. Erelita-KTU forced 26 ABRO-Universitetas turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for guard Arturs Pelss (181-87) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Matas Sapiega (180-90) accounted for 12 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Erelita-KTU players scored in double figures. Erelita-KTU's coach Vitoldas Masalskis felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Ignas Ramasauskas (210-93) came up with 8 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Povilas Rasamavicius (195-87) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for ABRO-Universitetas in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Erelita-KTU. They moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Delikatesas. Loser ABRO-Universitetas keeps the thirteenth position with 21 games lost. Erelita-KTU will meet bottom-ranked Puntukas (#15) in the next round. ABRO-Universitetas will play against Silute and hope to secure a win.
