A very close game took place in Joniskis between Delikatesas and Puntukas. Eleventh ranked Delikatesas (10-19) got a very close home victory over 15th ranked Puntukas (7-22). Delikatesas managed to escape with a 3-point win 93-90 on Friday evening. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was an exceptional evening for center Julius Jucikas (205-89) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Zilvinas Petraitis (194-88) accounted for 22 points for the winning side. Power forward Mindaugas Norkus (200-85) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and forward Darius Tarvydas (200-91) added 18 points respectively for Puntukas in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Puntukas' coach Gintautas Regina rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Delikatesas maintains eleventh place with 10-19 record, which they share with Erelita. Puntukas lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 22 games lost. They share it with Akademija. Delikatesas will meet Akademija (#14) in the next round. Puntukas will play against Erelita-KTU in Kaunas and hope to secure a win.
