NKL top team - Pieno Zvaigzdes (28-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Perlas-MRU (14-15) in Pasvalys 103-61. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Perlas-MRU. The game without a history. Pieno Zvaigzdes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Perlas-MRU's 46. Pieno Zvaigzdes forced 21 Perlas-MRU turnovers. It was a great evening for American guard Darrick Leonard (188-84, college: Aurora) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. Power forward Arnas Kazlauskas (204-76, agency: Court Side) helped adding 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Pieno Zvaigzdes players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Karolis Brusokas (200-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds and guard Paulius Semaska (179-93) scored 18 points and 5 assists. Pieno Zvaigzdes have an impressive series of twenty victories in a row. They maintain first place with 28-1 record. Perlas-MRU at the other side keeps the eighth position with 15 games lost. Pieno Zvaigzdes will play against LKKA-Atletas (#5) in Kaunas in the next round. Perlas-MRU will play at home against Meresta in Pakruojis and hopes to get back on the winning track.
