Eighth-ranked Aabyhoj (8-15) was very close to win a game against third ranked Naestved (15-7). Naestved managed to secure only five-point victory 79-74. However their fans expected much easier game. Aabyhoj was ahead by 6 points at the halftime before a 23-10 third quarter run of Naestved. They tied the game at the end of regular time. Then they were better in overtime eventually winning that period 9-4. American power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay (OH)) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Peter Johansen (205-80) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Edward Morris (203-84, college: Pittsburg St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and guard Darko Jukic (199-90) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Aabyhoj players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Naestved maintains third position with 15-7 record having six points less than leader Bakken. Aabyhoj lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 15 games lost. Naestved will play against bottom-ranked Aalborg (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aabyhoj will play against the league's leader Bakken in Aarhus and hopes to get back on the winning track.
