Everything went according to plan in Krivoy Rog where sixth ranked Kryvbasbasket (16-14) outscored 10th ranked BC Odessa (12-19) 89-66 on Saturday. The game without a history. Kryvbasbasket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Kryvbasbasket outrebounded BC Odessa 34-23 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists. BC Odessa was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of international power forward Igor Zaitsev (211-89) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Victor Kondratovets (187-76) who added 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Kryvbasbasket players scored in double figures. American forward John DeGroat (198-85, college: Pittsburgh) responded with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Patrick Sparks (184-83, college: Kentucky, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) scored 10 points and 5 assists. Kryvbasbasket moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Dnipro. BC Odessa lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 19 games lost. Kryvbasbasket will face league's second-placed Budivelnyk in Kyiv in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BC Odessa will play at home against Hoverla (#3) in Frankivsk.
