Bayer Giants outrebounded Herzoege Wolfenbuettel 43-19 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Josh Young (185-88, college: Drake) fired 29 points for the winners. His fellow American import center Nick Michael (208-85, college: Elmhurst) chipped in 9 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Martin Kemp (182-85) produced 19 points and American forward Justin Sexton (203-88, college: Pomona-Pitzer) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Herzoege Wolfenbuettel players scored in double figures. Bayer Giants moved-up to ninth place in Group North, which they share with Rist-Wedel. Loser Herzoege Wolfenbuettel keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Bayer Giants will face SC Rist Wedel (#9) at home in the next round. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel will play against Spot Up Medien Baskets in Braunschweig.
