Not a big story in a game in Dnepropetrovsk where 8th ranked Mykolaiv (14-15) was rolled over by fifth ranked Dnipro (16-14) 101-66 on Saturday. The game without a history. Dnipro led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Mykolaiv's 28 and made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Mykolaiv 44-24 including a 33-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dnipro made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian forward Denham Brown (198-83, college: Connecticut, agency: Edge Sports) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Olexiy Shchepkin (192-89) who added 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Power forward Ivan Gilyevych (205-82) responded with 17 points and American guard Justin Love (188-78, college: St.Louis) scored 11 points and 4 assists. Five Dnipro and four Mykolaiv players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Dnipro maintains fifth position with 16-14 record, which they share with Kryvbasbasket. Loser Mykolaiv keeps the eighth place with 15 games lost. Dnipro will face league's leader BC Donetsk on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Mykolaiv will play against Halychyna (#11) in Lviv.
