Very important is a home loss of second ranked BC Donetsk (23-8) against fifth ranked Dnipro (17-14) on Monday night. Host BC Donetsk was defeated by Dnipro in a tough game in Donetsk 78-86. The game without a history. Dnipro led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Dnipro especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. It was a good game for American guard Steve Burtt (185-84, college: Iona) who led his team to a victory with 36 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import center Aaron Pettway (211-80, college: Oklahoma St., agency: Hart Sports Mngm) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Serbian swingman Branko Cvetkovic (200-84, agency: Beo Basket) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Dominican guard Luis Flores (188-81, college: Manhattan) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for BC Donetsk. BC Donetsk's coach Sasa Obradovic rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Dnipro maintains fifth place with 17-14 record. BC Donetsk lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the second position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
