Regular Season Round 20: Naglis Palangos - Siauliai 97-91

An interesting game took place in Palanga where higher ranked Siauliai (9-5) was upset on the court of ninth ranked Naglis-Adakris (6-9) 97-91. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Siauliai. It looked good early as Siauliai took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Naglis-Adakris had a 30-23 second period charge getting the lead and Siauliai was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 91-97. Naglis-Adakris made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Naglis-Adakris especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. 25 personal fouls committed by Siauliai helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Gerald Inman (206-87, college: Rutgers) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. The other American import guard Chris Lowe (183-87, college: Massachusetts) contributed with 18 points and 8 assists for the winners. Inman is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American-Samoan guard Rashaun Broadus (182-84, college: BYU) replied with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Zygimantas Janavicius (192-89, agency: Interperformances) added 16 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Siauliai. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Naglis-Adakris moved-up to seventh place. Siauliai at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Naglis-Adakris will have a break next round. Siauliai will play at home against Perlas (#10) in Vilnius.
