Superleague top team - Budivelnyk (25-7) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat tenth ranked DniproAzot (12-19) in Dniprodzerzhynsk 77-64. The game was mostly controlled by Budivelnyk. DniproAzot managed to win fourth quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding DniproAzot to just 6 points in third quarter. Budivelnyk looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Denis Ikovlev (201-86, college: Nevada) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Zach Morley (203-83, college: Wisconsin) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four Budivelnyk players scored in double figures. American guard Lamar Karim (178-83, college: So.Poly State, agency: Interperformances) replied with 17 points and Canadian power forward Michael Fraser (203-84, college: Oklahoma Baptist, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for DniproAzot. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Budivelnyk have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 25-7 record. DniproAzot lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 19 games lost. Budivelnyk are looking forward to face Dnipro (#5) in Dnepropetrovsk in the next round.
