Very significant was Lemminkainen's (#2, 12-5) victory against 3rd placed Laisve (10-8) 78-69. The game without a history. Lemminkainen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Laisve was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Laura Povilonyte (185-86, college: Gardner-Webb) nailed 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and guard Rita Milieskiene (175-78) accounted for 20 points. Guard Mante Kvederaviciute (180-90) came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds and forward Jurga Budryte (187-81) added 11 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Laisve in the defeat. Four Laisve players scored in double figures. Laisve's coach Andrius Kuliesius rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Lemminkainen maintains second place with 12-5 record having seven points less than leader VICI Kaunas. Laisve at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. Lemminkainen will play against bottom-ranked Utena (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Laisve's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kaunas VICI Kaunas.
