Very expected game in Ankara where 9th ranked Istanbul B.B. (7-10) was crushed by fourth ranked Orman Genc (12-5) 80-54 on Saturday. Orman Genc dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Istanbul B.B.'s 30. They outrebounded Istanbul B.B. 38-25 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Canadian forward Ryan Wright (206-87, college: Oklahoma) stepped up and scored 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and power forward Serdar Unsur (205-82) chipped in 14 points. Recep Dogrusoz (-86) responded with 15 points and American center Dane Johnson (208-86, college: Hofstra) scored 14 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Istanbul B.B.'s coach Ilker Salman gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Orman Genc moved-up to third place in Group A. Istanbul B.B. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with ten games lost. Orman Genc will face league's leader Genc Banvit in Balikesir in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Istanbul B.B. will play at home against Pertevniyal (#6) in Istanbul.
