Everything went according to plan in Wuerzburg where second ranked s Oliver Baskets (16-4) beat 8th ranked BG Karlsruhe (10-10) 55-44. BG Karlsruhe was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. They outrebounded BG Karlsruhe 44-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. Center Sascha Kesselring (209-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 8 points and 10 rebounds. British-Australian guard Lee Jeka (187-83, agency: Promotex) contributed with 14 points for the winners. s Oliver Baskets' coach Marcel Schroeder used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
