The game with biggest result difference took place in Troyan. Local Chavdar (3-10) was outscored by third ranked Academik Plovdiv (9-3) 111-72. The game without a history. Academik Plovdiv led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Chavdar's 48 and had 26 for 35 from the free-throw line, while Chavdar only scored nine points from the stripe. Academik Plovdiv players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Chavdar helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a quality performance for forward Martin Horozov (200-86) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 14 rebounds (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!). Forward Dimitar Horozov (198-82) accounted for 26 points for the winning side. Four Academik Plovdiv players scored in double figures. Power forward Krasimir Koev (202-81) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Jordan Tsarov (183-82) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively for Chavdar in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Academik Plovdiv. Newly promoted Academik Plovdiv maintains third place with 9-3 record having five points less than leader Dunav 2007. Chavdar lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with ten games lost. Academik Plovdiv's next round opponent will be NSA (#6) in Sofia. Chavdar will play on the road against Academic Blagoevgrad and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
