Ligaen top team - Bakken (22-1) added another victory to their record on Wednesday. This time they beat eighth ranked Aabyhoj (8-16) 67-60. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 67-60. The best player for the winners was Bulgarian forward Hristo Petkov (200-85, college: Campbellsville) who scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. International swingman Chris Nielsen (192-85) chipped in 13 points. Bakken's coach Philip Dejworek used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Edward Morris (203-84, college: Pittsburg St.) produced 25 points and 9 rebounds and British-American guard Anthony Martin (186-80) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Bakken. They maintain first place with 22-1 record. Aabyhoj lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 16 games lost. Bakken will meet league's second-placed Svendborg on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aabyhoj will play against Vaerlose (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
