No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked TED Kayseri (12-6) beat at home 9th ranked Istanbul Universitesi (5-13) 63-49. The game was mostly controlled by TED Kayseri. Istanbul Universitesi was better in second period 13-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American power forward Nakia Sanford (193-76, college: Kansas) had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import power forward LaToya Pringle (191-86, college: N.Carolina, agency: 540 Sports) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four TED Kayseri players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Matee Ajavon (173-86, college: Rutgers) with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and international forward Bahar Yapar (179-89) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TED Kayseri moved-up to third place, which they share with Tarsus Bld. Istanbul Universitesi at the other side keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Ceyhan Bld. TED Kayseri will play against Besiktas (#5) in Istanbul in the next round. Istanbul Universitesi will play on the road against Ceyhan Bld (#10) in Adana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
