No shocking result in a game when sixteenth ranked LTi 46ers (7-17) beat bottom-ranked Gloria Giants (3-20) in Giessen 66-50 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by LTi 46ers. Gloria Giants was better in second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. LTi 46ers forced 19 Gloria Giants turnovers. Bosnian power forward Elvir Ovcina (211-76, college: Syracuse, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory by scoring 8 points and 11 rebounds. American forward Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Pro One Sports) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. LTi 46ers' coach Steven Key used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lithuanian forward Laimonas Kisielius (203-85, college: William & Mary) answered with 9 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized American forward Dorian McDaniel (198-87, college: Prairie View A&M) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Gloria Giants. LTi 46ers moved-up to fifteenth place. Gloria Giants lost their fifth game in a row. They stay dead last with 20 lost games. LTi 46ers will face league's leader Brose Baskets in Bamberg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gloria Giants will play at home against BG Goettingen (#11).
