Regular Season Round 22: OKK Beograd - Borac 82-72

No shocking result in a game when second ranked OKK Beograd (16-6) defeated at home 10th ranked Borac (9-13) 82-72. The game was mostly controlled by OKK Beograd. Borac was better in third quarter 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Borac 33-19 including 24 on the defensive glass. OKK Beograd players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Borac's players. Power forward Dragan Zekovic (210-87, agency: Interperformances) notched a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Dragan Mitrovic (200-85) supported him with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists. OKK Beograd's coach Marko Icelic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 16 points and 7 rebounds by power forward Filip Dedijer (206-88) did not help to save the game for Borac. Guard Nikola Vasojevic (195-86) added 20 points for lost side. Four Borac players scored in double figures. OKK Beograd maintains second position with 16-6 record having four points less than leader FMP. Borac at the other side dropped to the ninth place with 13 games lost. OKK Beograd's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Beograd to the arena Superfund BP.
