Regular Season Round 35: BC Kyiv - BC Donetsk 65-87

Very expected game when 13th ranked BC Kyiv (8-24) was crushed at home by second ranked BC Donetsk (24-8) 87-65. The game without a history. BC Donetsk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to BC Kyiv's 28. BC Donetsk brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Bosnian swingman Jasmin Hukic (204-79, agency: Beo Basket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points. International center Viacheslav Kravtsov (212-87, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 14 points and 6 blocks (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. Five BC Donetsk players scored in double figures. Guard Oleksandr Lypovyy (200-91) answered with 14 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Oleg Saltovets (202-77) added 7 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for BC Kyiv. BC Kyiv's coach Vitaliy Cherniy gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted BC Donetsk maintains second place with 24-8 record having just three points less than leader Budivelnyk. BC Kyiv at the other side stay dead last with 24 lost games. BC Donetsk's next round opponent will be Mykolaiv (#6) in Mykolaiv.
