Regular Season Round 19: Hrastnik - Medvode 77-64

Very predictable result when seventh ranked Hrastnik (11-8) won against at home 12th ranked Medvode (6-13) 77-64 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Hrastnik. Medvode managed to win fourth quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for forward Tadej Tusek (194-80, agency: World Sport Agency) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Ziga Percel (188-89) accounted for 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Five Hrastnik players scored in double figures. Swingman Franko Primoz (195-88) came up with 9 points and 5 rebounds and forward Andraz Podobnik (198-88) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Medvode in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Hrastnik. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Litija and Grosuplje. Medvode lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Nova Gorica and Primorac Branik. Hrastnik will meet at home league's second-placed Sencur CP in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Medvode will play against Triglav Kranj (#13) and hope to secure a win.
