An interesting game took place in Varda where higher ranked SL IAT Leotar (11-9) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Varda HE (6-13) 97-88 on Saturday. SL IAT Leotar trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 33-29 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 88-97 at the end of the game. Varda HE made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Serbian power forward Sasa Crnobrnja (203-83) who scored 26 points and 5 assists. Varda HE's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Varda HE moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Kakanj. Loser SL IAT Leotar dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with Sloboda Dita and Zrinjski HT. Varda HE will meet higher ranked Mladost (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SL IAT Leotar will play against the league's leader Bosna ASA BHT where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
