ProB top team - SG Schwelmer Baskets (17-4) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (5-16) 97-57. The game without a history. SG Schwelmer Baskets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game, while Herzoege Wolfenbuettel only scored six points from the stripe. SG Schwelmer Baskets had a 34-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Naturalized American forward Kristofer Speier (206-81, college: Lewis-Clark) nailed a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and center Julius Ducker (205-84) accounted for 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four SG Schwelmer Baskets players scored in double figures. Swingman Henje Knopke (193-85) came up with 13 points and 7 assists and American forward Justin Sexton (203-88, college: Pomona-Pitzer) added 9 points respectively for Herzoege Wolfenbuettel in the defeat. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for SG Schwelmer Baskets.
