Regular Season Round 21: Cuxhaven - Dragons 84-65

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 13th ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (6-15) was crushed on the road by fourteenth ranked Cuxhaven BasCats (6-15) 84-65 on Saturday. The game without a history. Cuxhaven BasCats led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was American forward Deilvez Yearby (198-87, college: IPFW) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import guard Aaron Cook (186-83, college: Hartford) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Cuxhaven BasCats players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Jonas Wohlfarth-Bottermann (207-90) who recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Sanijay Watts (193-87, college: Cent.Missouri, agency: Limelight Hoops) added 15 points and 13 rebounds respectively. The victory was the third consecutive win for Cuxhaven BasCats. They moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Dragons Rhoendorf. Dragons Rhoendorf lost their third game in a row. Cuxhaven BasCats will face higher ranked BV Chemnitz 99 (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
