There was no surprise when 11th ranked Beykoz (4-14) lost at home to seventh ranked Istanbulspor (10-8) 75-67 on Saturday. Beykoz was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Ibrahim Demircioglu who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Orcun Okkali (201-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Candar Yilmaz (-91) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and guard Mustafa Gucyetmez (186-80, agency: Diamond Athletes Agency) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Beykoz. Four Beykoz players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Istanbulspor have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in Group B, which they share with Gaziantep and Selcuk Univ. Beykoz lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Istanbulspor will face Akhisar Bld (#8) at home in the next round. Beykoz's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Basaksehir.
