Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Selcuk Universitesi (10-8) defeated 9th ranked Basaksehir (5-13) in Konya 85-74 on Saturday. Selcuk Universitesi made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. Basaksehir was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American forward Brian Boddicker (204-81, college: Texas, agency: EM-PA) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Mustafa Gucyetmez (186-80, agency: Diamond Athletes Agency) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. American guard Tyrone Anderson (193-84, college: Concord) replied with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks and Selcuk Batur (-85) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Basaksehir. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Selcuk Universitesi moved-up to fourth place in Group B, which they share with Istanbulspor and Gaziantep. Newly promoted Basaksehir dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. Selcuk Universitesi will face TED Istanbul (#9) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Basaksehir's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Beykoz.
