We should mention about the upset which took place in Siauliai, where 4th placed Siauliai (9-6) was outleveled at home by tenth ranked Perlas (6-10) 86-63. The game without a history. Perlas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 20 Siauliai turnovers and outrebounded them 35-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. Forward Vilmantas Dilys (208-87) nailed 32 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and guard Aidas Viskontas (185-86) accounted for 8 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Coach Roberts Stelmahers's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players saving starting five for next games. American-Samoan guard Rashaun Broadus (182-84, college: BYU) came up with 18 points and 7 assists and guard Zygimantas Janavicius (192-89, agency: Interperformances) added 10 points respectively for Siauliai in the defeat. Perlas moved-up to eighth place. Siauliai at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Perlas' next round opponent will be league's leader Zalgiris in Kaunas and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Siauliai will play on the road against Alytus Alita (#13).
