Very significant was Genc Telekom's (#3) 63-59 road victory against 5th ranked Orman Genc in Group A. Orman Genc was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for guard Murat Goktas (201-87) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Yunus Akcay (-89) accounted for 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Canadian forward Ryan Wright (206-87, college: Oklahoma) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and guard Mehmet Sinan (195-82, agency: Diamond Athletes Agency) added 15 points respectively for Orman Genc in the defeat. Orman Genc's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Genc Telekom maintains third place in Group A with 13-6 record having just three points less than leader Genc Banvit, which they share with Usak. Orman Genc at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Genc Telekom will play against Pertevniyal (#7) in Istanbul in the next round. Orman Genc will play on the road against FMV Isikspor in Istanbul and hopes to get back on the winning track.
