Regular Season Round 19: Oyak Renault - Fener.Ulker 68-73

TBL top team - Fenerbahce Ulker (17-2) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixteenth ranked Oyak Renault (3-16) in Bursa 73-68. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Oyak Renault won third quarter 18-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fenerbahce Ulker had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Bosnian-Slovenian forward Emir Preldzic (206-87, agency: Beo Basket) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Lithuanian guard Sarunas Jasikevicius (192-76, college: Maryland) helped adding 14 points and 4 assists. At the losing side American forward James Mays (206-86, college: Clemson) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Antabia Waller (188-88, college: Auburn) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Oyak Renault's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Fenerbahce Ulker have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 17-2 record. Oyak Renault lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Fenerbahce Ulker will play against Trabzonspor (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Oyak Renault will play against Besiktas (#5) in Istanbul and hopes to get back on the winning track.
