Very expected game when 8th ranked Vaerlose (8-18) was smashed on the road by third ranked Naestved (19-7) 86-66. The game without a history. Naestved led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Naestved outrebounded Vaerlose 42-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. 26 personal fouls committed by Vaerlose helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay (OH)) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international power forward Peter Johansen (205-80) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Naestved players scored in double figures. International guard Julian McFarlane (184-86) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and Senegalese power forward Pape Ba (207-80, college: Bethune-Cookman) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Naestved. They maintain third place with 19-7 record having three points less than leader Svendborg. Vaerlose lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with 18 games lost. Naestved's next round opponent will be league's leader Svendborg on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vaerlose will play against Horsholm (#4).
