Very expected game when 13th ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (6-16) lost at home to eighth ranked Webmoebel Baskets (11-10) 84-77 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Dragons Rhoendorf won third quarter 25-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Webmoebel Baskets made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for American guard Kejuan Johnson (193-85, college: Long Beach St.) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 8 rebounds. The other American import guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Sanijay Watts (193-87, college: Cent.Missouri, agency: Limelight Hoops) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and guard Nick Larsen (188-83) added 13 points and 8 assists in the effort for Dragons Rhoendorf. Four Dragons Rhoendorf players scored in double figures. Webmoebel Baskets have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 11-10 record. Dragons Rhoendorf lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth place with 16 games lost. Webmoebel Baskets will face higher ranked BV Chemnitz 99 (#3) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Dragons Rhoendorf will play against USC Freiburg (#16).
