There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Akhisar Bld (9-10) outleveled on the road 6th ranked Istanbulspor (10-9) 82-62 on Saturday. Akhisar Bld dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Istanbulspor's 28. It was a great evening for American forward Tyrone Nelson (206-85, college: N.Mexico St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 15-of-18 shooting from the field). Forward Erdinc Gul (200-81) helped adding 12 points. At the losing side forward Nusret Yildirim (202-89, agency: EM-PA) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and forward Orcun Okkali (201-87) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four Istanbulspor players scored in double figures. Akhisar Bld maintains eighth place in Group B with 9-10 record. Newly promoted Istanbulspor keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Akhisar Bld will face Basaksehir (#9) in Istanbul in the next round.
