Regular Season Round 22: NBC - Weissenhorn 82-54

There was no surprise when 6th ranked BG Illertal/Weissenhorn (10-12) was outleveled by third ranked NBC (17-5) in Nurnberg 82-54 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-54. NBC forced 21 BG Illertal/Weissenhorn turnovers. Quite impressive performance for American guard Ahmad Smith (194-84, college: St.Bonaventure) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Swingman Cornelius Adler (195-89) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four NBC players scored in double figures. NBC's coach Derrick Taylor felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard DeUndrae Spraggins (191-83, college: Tex.A&M-Comm.) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and forward Florian Mobius (202-79) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for BG Illertal/Weissenhorn. NBC have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group South, which they share with Leitershofen. Newly promoted BG Illertal/Weissenhorn keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
