Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Mersin (4-15) lost to sixth ranked Karsiyaka (12-7) in Akdeniz 68-73. Mersin was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 37-28 second half run of Karsiyaka. American forward Andre Smith (203-85, college: N.Dakota St.) fired 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners.
