No shocking result in a game when third ranked Azovmash (23-13) beat on the road bottom-ranked BC Kyiv (8-26) 81-65. BC Kyiv was ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 52-31 second half run of Azovmash. They made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. American guard Ramel Curry (191-80, college: CSU Bakersfield) fired 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. His fellow American import forward Fred House (195-78, college: S.Utah, agency: Lanshire Group) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Oleg Saltovets (202-77) produced 16 points and 7 rebounds and center Maksym Sandul (207-91) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. BC Kyiv's coach Vitaliy Cherniy tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion maintains third place with 23-13 record having two points less than leader Budivelnyk. BC Kyiv lost their fourth game in a row. They stay dead last with 26 lost games. Azovmash will have a break next round. BC Kyiv's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kyiv Budivelnyk.
