Very important is a road loss of third ranked Mazeikiai (22-15) against eighth ranked LKKA-Atletas (20-17) on Friday night. Visiting Mazeikiai was defeated by LKKA-Atletas in Kaunas 90-72. Mazeikiai was ahead by 9 points at the halftime before a 55-28 second half run of LKKA-Atletas. They made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Forward Vidmantas Sragauskis (200-86) accounted for 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Guard Modestas Sidlauskas (193-85) came up with 16 points and 6 assists and American guard Bryan Harrison (188-84, college: Georgia Coll.) added 10 points, 11 assists and 5 steals respectively for Mazeikiai in the defeat. Four Mazeikiai players scored in double figures. Mazeikiai's coach Aloyzas Rudys rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. LKKA-Atletas moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Nafta Universitetas. Mazeikiai lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with 15 games lost. LKKA-Atletas' next round opponent will be league's leader Pieno Zvaigzdes in Pasvalys and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
