Leader Optimum TED recorded the eighteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 12th ranked ITU Istanbul (2-18) 86-73. Optimum TED forced 23 ITU Istanbul turnovers. Worth to mention a quality performance of center Mehmet Nezih (206-80) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 rebounds and guard Burak Erol (196-88) who added 11 points during the contest. Center Enver Enis Ekmen (207-83, agency: EM-PA) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and the former international forward Tolga Tekinalp (202-74, agency: 1x1 Sports) scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Optimum TED maintains first position in Group B with 18-2 record. ITU Istanbul lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 18 games lost. Optimum TED will meet at home Gelisim (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
