Regular Season Round 40: Silute - ABRO-Univ. 75-83

The most important game in the last round took place in Silute between second ranked Silute (15-21) and sixth ranked ABRO-Universitetas (12-25) on Saturday night. Silute was defeated by ABRO-Universitetas in a tough game at home 75-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Silute. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 49-38 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. ABRO-Universitetas forced 19 Silute turnovers. Strangely Silute outrebounded ABRO-Universitetas 45-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Aivaras Kvedaravicius (184-88) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Swingman Povilas Rasamavicius (195-87) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Vytautas Nedzinskas (196-87) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Erikas Kaupaitis (202-84, college: USC Upstate) added 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Silute. Four Silute players scored in double figures. ABRO-Universitetas maintains sixth position with 12-25 record. Silute at the other side keeps the second place with 21 games lost. ABRO-Universitetas are looking forward to face Puntukas (#7) in Anyksciai in the next round. Silute will play on the road against Akademija (#5) in Vilnius and is hoping to win this game.
