Regular Season Round 20: Chernomorets - Spartak Pleven 76-92

The most shocking disappointment of round 20 was a home defeat of 7th ranked Chernomorets (4-17) by eighth ranked Spartak (5-16) who outscored them by 16 points 92-76 in the game for the seventh place. The game without a history. Spartak led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Hrisimir Dimitrov (197-74) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 rebounds and forward Todor Todorov (198-82) who added 14 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four Spartak players scored in double figures. Forward Ivo Slavchev (198-90) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Hristo Zahariev (197-90) scored 12 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spartak moved-up to seventh place. Chernomorets at the other side dropped to the bottom position with 17 games lost. Spartak are looking forward to face league's second-placed Levski in Sofia in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Chernomorets will play on the road against Tundja (#5) in Yambol and is hoping to win this game.
