Regular Season Round 21: Hrastnik - Postojna 87-80

Very expected game when 10th ranked KD Postojna (7-14) lost on the road to sixth ranked Hrastnik (13-8) 87-80 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But KD Postojna won fourth quarter 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Tadej Tusek (194-80, agency: World Sport Agency) nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and guard Gasper Ovnik (188-82) accounted for 14 points and 6 assists. Five Hrastnik players scored in double figures. Power forward Gregor Jakhel (206-88) came up with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and guard Nejc Glavas (192-86) added 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for KD Postojna in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Hrastnik. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Grosuplje. KD Postojna at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Nova Gorica and Primorac Branik. Hrastnik will meet at home higher ranked Splosna plovba (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KD Postojna will play against Triglav Kranj (#13) and hope to secure a win.
