There was no surprise in Istanbul where 11th ranked Beykoz (4-16) was crushed by fifth ranked Selcuk Universitesi (12-8) 82-45 on Saturday. Selcuk Universitesi dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Beykoz's 24. They outrebounded Beykoz 42-28 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Eric Devendorf who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Azizcan Ozdemir (201-88, agency: 1x1 Sports) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Erkan Inan (192-89) produced 17 points and Osman Sarisoy (-88) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Selcuk Universitesi have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in Group B, which they share with Gaziantep. Beykoz lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 16 games lost. Selcuk Universitesi will face Akhisar Bld (#6) at home in the next round.
