Very predictable result when first ranked Galatasaray (19-2) won against 9th ranked Ceyhan Bld (6-15) in Istanbul 74-63 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Galatasaray. Ceyhan Bld was better in second period 26-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Galatasaray dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Ceyhan Bld's 28. They outrebounded Ceyhan Bld 50-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for center Sylvia Fowles (198-85, college: LSU) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field).
