Leader Genc Banvit delivered the seventeenth victory. This time they beat 12th ranked Izmir B.B. (2-18) 86-77 in Balikesir. They outrebounded Izmir B.B. 40-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. Center Ufuk Gurgen (205-77) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Serbian power forward Marko Kolaric (213-84, college: Chaminade) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Four Genc Banvit players scored in double figures. Forward Omur Gokcepinar (196-80) replied with 24 points and 5 rebounds and Erman Demirer (-88) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Izmir B.B.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Genc Banvit (17-3) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A. Newly promoted Izmir B.B. keeps the twelfth place with 18 games lost. Genc Banvit will play against league's second-placed Vestel in Manisa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Izmir B.B. will play at home against Genc Telekom (#3) in Ankara and hopes to get back on the winning track.
