There was no surprise in Samokov where 8th ranked Cherno More U18 (6-9) was crushed by sixth ranked Rilski 2 (8-7) 102-62 on Sunday. The game without a history. Rilski 2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Cherno More U18's 46. They outrebounded Cherno More U18 51-17 including a 37-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rilski 2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Cherno More U18's players. Center Mario Karailiev (206-93) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and forward Krasimir Georgiev (198-89) chipped in 19 points and 13 rebounds. Four Rilski 2 players scored in double figures. Forward Nikolay Stoyanov (195-94) responded with 19 points and guard Anton Dikov (191-94) scored 15 points. Rilski 2 moved-up to fifth place, which they share with NSA and Balkan 2. Cherno More U18 lost their third game in a row. Cherno More U18 at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Rilski 2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cherno More U18 will play against Vidabasket (#4) and hope to secure a win.
