Regular Season Round 24: Lietkabelis - Nevezis 61-74

An interesting game took place in Panevezys, where higher ranked Techasas (10-9) lost at home to eleventh ranked Nevezis (6-11) 61-74. The game was mostly controlled by Nevezis. Techasas was better in second period 21-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Techasas 38-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for center Egidijus Dimsa (205-85) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Naturalized Swiss guard Rolandas Alijevas (192-85) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Nevezis players scored in double figures. Guard Gintaras Leonavicius (194-83, agency: Players Group) replied with 12 points and 6 rebounds and guard Sarunas Kulevicius (190-89) added 8 points in the effort for Techasas. Nevezis moved-up to ninth place. Techasas at the other side dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. Nevezis will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Techasas will play at home against Alytus Alita (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
