Third ranked Lukoil blasted bottom-ranked Slavia (0-19) in Sofia 79-36. Slavia is still unable to win any game. The game was mostly controlled by Lukoil. Slavia was better in fourth quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Slavia to just 4 points in second quarter and to 11 points in first half. Lukoil dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Slavia's 24. Lukoil forced 33 Slavia turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for international forward Maria Zhelyazkova (181-86) who led the winners and scored 17 points. Lukoil will play against Levski (#4) in Sofia in the next round. Slavia will play at home against Beroe 07 in Stara Zagora and hopes to get finally their first victory.
